After a long wait, the LEC studio will finally reopen its doors for a live audience.

It has finally been announced that the LEC will once again welcome a live audience at the 2022 LEC Spring Split finals on April 10. This will be a one-off event that will include “a limited number of fans back in the studio,” according to the official LEC announcement.

With a limited crowd, the LEC finalists can look forward to finally playing in the best live setting which has rarely been seen of late. It’s unknown how many fans the LEC will be able to let in, but it will certainly provide the players as well as viewers with a better experience than they have grown accustomed to.

The tickets for the final will be up for sale from this Friday, April 1, starting at 16:00 CEST. With a limited number of tickets available, it’s expected that these will be bought up quickly as live League of Legends has been extremely limited in Europe for a while now.

Earlier this split, the LEC began to allow teams back into the live studio in a limited capacity. With this, the teams are slowly getting used to playing live on stage again, but not yet in front of a crowd. Having a crowd at the final should put a little extra pressure on the finalists and make sure that the absolute strongest team will win the split and the right to represent Europe at the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational.

Who these finalists will be is still unknown, but fans will soon know one of the teams that will be represented in the final. This will be the winner of Rogue and Fnatic, who are set to play in the upper-bracket final this weekend. Both teams have been close in strength all split and now the first big clash between the two will finally play out.

The other finalist won’t be known until the day before the final. Remaining in the playoff race are also G2 Esports, Misfits Gaming, and Team Vitality. Only one of these teams can potentially make it to the final, as the lower bracket will also continue this weekend.

The next game in the LEC playoffs will be between G2 and Vitality on Friday, April 1.
