FaZe Clan has new ownership and a new vision. Is Fortnite streamer Tfue part of that vision?

FaZe Clan is under new ownership and with that has come the return of OG leaders like FaZe Banks. Fans have noticed a lot of new content creator-based signings and series rather than a focus on just esports. Is part of the new strategy going to involve former FaZe member Turner “Tfue” Tenney?

In 2019, Tfue actually turned to legal action against FaZe Clan over an oppressive and low-ball contract. At the time, Tfue claimed that the contract was violating California Law, with fans stunned to find out that FaZe took 80% of his earnings. By 2020, Tfue and FaZe Clan had settled outside of court.

Since then, Tfue went back to streaming but retired three years later. The constant video game stream grind had really impacted his mental health. Instead, Tfue signed with Kick and has now been doing more IRL streams.

Is this the kind of content that has spoken to FaZe Banks?

Is Tfue part of FaZe Clan?

FaZe Clan and Tfue had a pretty hilarious exchange on X starting with the esports and entertainment organization asking if they should “run it back” with Tfue. In response, Tfue said: “But this time I get 80 and you get 20.”

This burn was in reference to his previous contract, leading to an even more hilarious response from FaZe Banks. The CEO said: “Better than what they had me on. My s— was 0/100.”

This got a laugh out of Tfue, showing that the two currently have a good relationship and are fine with the smack talk. It also was a glimpse at how FaZe Banks also felt screwed over by how the organization was run before the new update. Perhaps with the new leadership and direction, FaZe Clan is appealing to Tfue this time around.

Fans largely supported the idea of Tfue joining FaZe Clan again but a lot did note that it felt like it largely was about money. Others said that Tfue should get “100 percent” of his earnings, but that’s clearly not how having a sponsorship or organization works.

“I’m so here for this. And it’s so good to see them move on and forgive and forget,” one fan wrote.

Added another: “Never thought you’d go back, Tfue, I’m happy.”

For now it’s unclear if Tfue will actually join FaZe Clan or not but his new IRL content definitely matches the direction of the organization. When FaZe Banks was brought back on, he notoriously dropped the majority of the team. This led to a lot of backlash, but FaZe Banks clearly had a vision for making it work this time around.
