Despite having over 4 million followers on Twitch, fans have noticed that Sykkuno has never been part of a Twitch Rival event.
Sykkuno has been streaming games since 2011, rapidly growing in popularity due to his collaborations with other big content creators. Sykkuno has played Valorant, GTA RP, and other games with Felix “xQc” Lengyel, Imane “Pokimane” Anys, Rachell “Valkyrae” Hofstetter, and other popular streamers.
Even though he’s one of Twitch’s biggest names, Sykkuno has been MIA from Twitch Rivals. Twitch Rivals is a series of competitions that bring together the biggest Twitch streamers, as well as some pro players. Sykkuno decided to address this in a recent stream as fans continued to ask him why he’s never part of the action.
An upcoming Rust competition had fans questioning if Sykkuno would finally make an appearance, but Sykkuno made it clear he wouldn’t be taking part.
“I think it’s because I’m not, like, a fancy professional streamer,” Sykkuno said.
Sykkuno explained that he isn’t really competitive in any of the games he plays. While he’ll play Valorant on his streams, Sykkuno styles himself as more of a casual gamer who likes to chat with his fans while playing games like Among Us. He did enter the Fall Guys Twitch Rivals event with Disguised Toast in the past while his duo partner was still on Facebook Gaming.
āI think that really tells you how much Iām included in these things, but itās not a problem for me. I donāt really care that much. Look, Twitch Rivals isnāt that fancy anyway, is it?ā Sykkuno asked.
The popular streamer has managed to keep his identity private for now. Sykkuno’s legal name is not currently known.
Many fans like to speculate on its meaning of Sykkuno’s name. Some have theorized that it has origins in the Japanese language. But Sykkuno has admitted that it may not have any deep meaning at all.
“āThe answer is always, āI just randomly thought of it, and it sounded funny,’” Sykkuno has previously said.
