The Submachine Gun has been unvaulted in Fortnite, and this relic of the past is ready to change the game.

Fortnite keeps a steady stream of new content flowing throughout any given season, adding brand-new features and reviving some of the bygone aspects of the game. The latest feature to be re-added to the game is the original short-range and rapid-fire weapon, the Submachine Gun. The Submachine Gun has been unvaulted and is making its way into Fortnite MEGA, what might this change?

Submachine Gun unvaulted in Fortnite

The latest weapon to return to Fortnie is a timeless classic, the Submachine Gun. It was announced that this rapid-fire weapon option was returning to the game on April 25. This news was quickly picked up by community sources like well-known leaker and community news sources ShiinaBR. This season has become a test of high-speed action. This is thanks to the insane mobility offered by the Attack on Titan ODM Gear and the Kinetic Blade katana. The SMG offers a nimble firearm whose rapid rate of fire can help land shots on fleeing or approaching enemies using either mobility tool.

The weapon has been unvaulted at Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. This means that you’ll be able to find it all across the island in chests and on the ground just like any regular weapon. This puts it with the rest of the non-Mythic, non-Exotic weapons available in the season. Many fans have been lamenting the lack of a non-Exotic SMG that packs a punch at short range this season. The return of the SMG looks to solve that with the oldest tool it has in that category.

So far, the arrival of the SMG has been a hit with many fans, filling a hole in the weapon roster that was previously lacking.
