Thomas Chance “Sodapoppin” Morris few to Las Vegas for the upcoming Twitch Rivals event and didn’t have a good night, judging from Twitter.
Sodapoppin revealed that he had flooded his hotel room. According to the streamer, he was put in a nice hotel for the event. He started a bath and “messed up” by falling asleep. The water kept running and it eventually flooded.
“My bad,” Sodapoppin said, admitting that he didn’t think the big bathtub would fill that quickly.
Sodapoppin stated it was his fault and apologized while showing the extent of the water all over the bathroom floor. Fans replied with jokes on Twitter about Sodapoppin attempting to mop up the huge amount of water with a small towel, which had immediately become soaked and useless.
On November 4 and November 5, 32 of Twitch’s biggest streamers will take part in the challenge in hopes of winning cash. The prize pool is $250,000, which will be doled out across multiple IRL challenges like puzzle games, mini-golf, and obstacle courses.
The streamers, which include Felix “xQc” Lengyel and Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker, will be divided into duos. Each challenge will earn them points if they are successful. The challenges on November 4 will be physical while November 5 will feature video game-related events.
A long list of big names are set to compete in this Twitch Rivals event. Alongside Sodapoppin, Felix “xQc” Lengyel, Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker, and Tyler “tyler1” Steinkamp will all be taking part in the event. With so many prominent names set to compete, it’s likely to be one of the biggest Twitch Rivals events in a long while.
The action starts today at 12 p.m. PT. It can be watched on the official Twitch Rivals channel.
