SMASH Esports accused of not paying NOChance CSGO players

Just two months after being signed to SMASH Esports, the NoChance Counter-Strike: Global Offensive squad is leaving the organization.

SMASH Esports posted the major roster change on Twitter, a positive announcement with a lot of emojis.

“Every story has an ending, even a short one. Today, we announce that our journey with the NoChance boys ends. We wish them the best of luck in the future! We have an awesome, fresh line-up waiting for you. Announcement coming up very soon. Any guesses?” the organization tweeted

While many fans offered guesses, still others seemed a little shocked by SMASH’s apparent decision to drop the roster.

“They played well and they just came in. WTF?” one person tweeted.

During their short time with the organization, the NoChance boys snagged a victory at LOOT.BET Season 4 and also qualified for the WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2 LAN Finals.

SMASH Esports accused of not paying players

But in-Game Leader Kevin “kRYSTAL” Amend opened up on Twitter that they were not “kicked,” as the organization had made it seem. Instead, kRYSTAL told fans that they had left. kRYSTAL also confirmed some concerning rumors regarding the organization.

To a tweet that speculated that the NoChance crew was “on trial” and was not receiving a salary, kRYSTAL said, “Yes.” The tweet also accused SMASH of trying to “change players without asking the team” first, which Amend also confirmed as true.

As people grew confused about the situation, SMASH Esports wrote that fans should “keep an eye out” for an upcoming announcement. They told the CSGO community not to “worry for the guys.”

People began responding to the announcement that SMASH Esports should pay their players, while others warned them not to make “too many changes without talking to members of the squad.”

NoChance future in CSGO

While SMASH Esports still hasn’t revealed their future roster, there’s already rumors swirling around NoChance’s new organization. According to a tweet that kRYSTAL confirmed with a “yes,” NoChance received a better offer from GODSENT.

On kRYSTAL’s own Twitter, the IGL noted that an update on their future would be coming soon.

While a part of the SMASH Esports organization, kRYSTAL played with ex-Ninjas in Pyjamas player Makail “Maikelele” Bill and former mousesports member Martin “STYKO” Styk. They played alongside Jesse “zehN” Linjala and Pavle “Maden” Boskovic. The roster was coached by DreamHack Winter 2013 winner Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg.

While no official announcement has happened as of publishing, NoChance will be competing at the WePlay! Forge of Masters Season 2 LAN Finals in Ukraine. They are also competing in the European Champions Cup.
