Streamers can’t seem to get enough of party game Among Us. Well, except Michael “shroud” Grzesiek.Â
Recently, shroud has been playing a lot of DayZ. But he took a break from the survival game to try out Among Us on September 20. His fans apparently loved the change of pace. His peak viewership of 35,533 viewers happened when shroud was playing Among Us with friends that evening.
Despite the game’s popularity, shroud wasn’t able to contain his negative opinion of the simple “find the imposter” game as his friends started to loudly argue during a voting session.Â
“This game is so fucking dumb. It’s so dumb. Oh my god, it’s such a stupid fucking game,” shroud ranted.
He noted that the game was just people “all yelling at each other.”
“Holy fuck. He says, she says. ‘I saw you here.’ And ‘Oh, I wasn’t there.’ Jesus fucking christ,” shroud continued.
After the rant, shroud continued to play Among Us for a quite a while. He still acknowledged that it was refreshing after playing more intense games and competitive titles.Â
Since that session, however, shroud hasn’t gone back to playing Among Us. Instead, the former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro has continued his DayZ binge along with some Fallout 76.Â
While Among Us isn’t shroud’s cup of tea, other streamers have been finding a lot of success with the game. After a 40-day break, variety streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys had a session with other popular gamers and YouTubers. The casual gaming stream had over 60,000 viewers at its peak.Â
Among Us was launched in the summer of 2018. Despite it being around for quite some time, the game suddenly gained popularity in the last few months thanks to many YouTubers and streamers picking up the party title. The similarly simple Fall Guys has also become a phenomenon in recent weeks. Many big names have played the goofy battle royale instead of their usual skill-based games.Â
