League of Legends champion Rek’Sai is basically unplayable right now.

After Riot attempted to fix a bug in Patch 10.19, Rek’Sai experienced a game-brekaing glitch that has made her unplayable. The bug fix in Patch 10.19 targeted an issue where Rek’Sai’s ability cooldowns wren’t working as initially intended.

Rek’Sai has been frustrating players for the past few weeks. Her cooldown for the “unburrowed” ability set does not tick down while she’s in her “burrowed” form. As a result, players deal much less damage while switching between forms. While the patch attempted addressed this problem, it created some bigger ones.

A League of Legends YouTuber noticed that the temporary bug fix in Patch 10.19 led to her becoming “broken.” The glitch now happens in her Burrowed form, too. Both ability sets take much longer to cool down.

Rek’Sai has been suffering since the patch was released. The champion is currently the worst pick for jungle, with her win rate decreased to 41% due to the recent changes.

The 2020 World Championship is already looming. It begins on September 25, meaning Rek’Sai might be removed from the champion pool entirely without a proper fix being deployed before the international tournament. Even though she has not been a current meta pick, Rek’Sai’s complete absence from the field would still be quite shocking, giving teams one less champion to choose from in their drafts.

Rek’Sai has been a popular choice in some past competitive metas, so it would be a big change for her to be completely removed from the field at this year’s World Championship event. Given her current state however, she’s unlikely to be picked up even if Riot allows for it to happen.
