Epic Games has finally revealed the newest addition to Fortnite’s bounty hunter theme in the shape of a supervillain. Chapter 2 Season 5 Battle Pass brings the sinister Predator as part of the game’s Zero Point arc.
The villian from the 1987 classic movie Predator has finally made its way to Fortnite’s Zero Point arc, all set to wreak havoc. The creature enters Fortnite as something players have never seen before. The colossal and formidable human hunting beast is all sorts of creepy, with a mouth surrounded by tiny pincers.
Thanks to his unique eerie persona, the creature’s legacy thrives years after the original film. The masked Predator has earlier made appearances in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Mortal Kombat X, and Archie Comics. In 2021, the character is all set to spook out Fortnite players.
The developer has released an official trailer allowing a peek into Predator screeching in the Fortnite Island.
Battle Pass owners will be able to unlock the Predator outfit by leveling up. Epic Games has added new Jungle Hunter quests, through which players can earn Predator-themed cosmetics like his arm blade as a pickaxe tool.
Apart from the skin, players can also unlock the Predator’s built-in bio-helmet online emote, a unique heat vision hunter spray, banner, and an emoticon.
To complete other Jungle Quests, players would need to don up in Predator’s suit, which is precisely why beating him will be a tough nut to crack.
“Throughout the galaxy, there are few species feared more than the Yautja. Fearsome warriors that hunt for honor and sport, this one followed John Jones on its quest for a worthy competitor,” Epic Games stated.
Epic Games announced his arrival to load up the roster of Fortnite bosses. However, Predator’s frightful history tells that he may be the most challenging boss so far. One of the many things that render him deadly is his Mythic item. His Cloaking device takes inspiration from the classic movie where characters feel powerless as Predator can turn invisible. The creature only appears in full sight when he’s attacking, making the players vulnerable in Fortnite Island.
The Predator will be welcomed by Fortnite’s guest characters in the game’s new Zero Point arch theme. The game initially introduced the famed Star Wars bounty hunter Mandalorian and Baby Yoda. Master Chief from Halo, Kratos from God of War, and Daryl Dixon and Michonne from The Walking Dead were also added as Bounty Hunters.
