Imane “Pokimane” Anys is taking another extended break from streaming on Twitch.
Pokimane recently revealed that she was feeling burnout more than at any time in the past. This has led Pokimane to extend her break from the streaming platform.
Pokimane was last seen on Twitch on August 22. At that time, the Valorant player told her fans that she was taking a much-needed break from her busy work life. She said she needed to “get off the PC for a while.” Before this break, Pokimane had made it clear that she was feeling overwhelmed and would only be taking on projects she truly loved.
“All these years, I’ve been living my life and framing it in such a way where I avoid having any regret. But avoiding regret does not mean you are pursuing what you want. Those are two very, very different things,” Pokimane told fans at the time.
Pokimane is returning to Twitch on September 8.
Fans weren’t surprised at Pokimane’s decision to step away from streaming after the star complained about being burned out and giving up for multiple days. She decided to stay with her parents in Canada after announcing her break from Twitch. And now it seems that Pokimane doesn’t want the streaming vacation away from Twitch to end.
“I’ve been enjoying my time back home so much that I extended my stay a bit,” Pokimane said in a tweet.
“I really needed this,” Pokimane said.
While some fans may be disappointed to hear that Pokimane won’t be back as soon as they had hoped, the wait may be worth it. Pokimane has been promising that September will be a big month on her stream. She said that she has “some things coming out that I think you’ll really like.”
