The Try Guys drama has been taking the internet by storm, with Ned Fulmer’s cheating scandal overshadowing the ongoing issues over on Twitch. Imane “Pokimane” Anys has decided to talk about the issue on her own live broadcast, calling former Try Guy Ned Fulmer “selfish.”
After weeks of fan speculation, including images captured of Fulmer and the other woman at events around Los Angeles, the Try Guys officially announced on September 27 that the popular staple of the content series was being dropped. That’s when Fulmer dropped the ball himself.
On Instagram, Fulmer admitted that he had been unfaithful to his wife, Ariel. He called it a “consensual workplace relationship,” confirming the rumors that Fulmer was in a relationship with a Try Guys producer, someone who worked beneath him at the company.
“Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship. I’m sorry for any pain that my actions may have caused to the guys and the fans but most of all to Ariel,” Fulmer said.
Since the admission, Fulmer has been heavily scrutinized by fans of the Try Guys and the internet as a whole. Ariel was featured heavily in a lot of the Try Guys’ videos and she was also all over his social media. Fulmer had become known as the Wife Guy, often mentioning his wife and children whenever possible.
This left the online community shook that such a self-proclaimed family man would cheat on his wife. Memes started floating around all over the internet, with women basically saying that “nobody is safe” from being cheated on at this point.
With so much controversy surrounding Fulmer, Pokimane brought up the topic herself on a stream earlier this week. After watching some videos about the situation, Pokimane shared her opinion on Fulmer.
“I feel like that is one of the most selfish things you can possibly do because now you’re likely imposing trauma on your partner and your child,” Pokimane said. “That’s really so sad.”
Pokimane went on to explain the seriousness of cheating on someone you’re married to. She said it’s “bad enough” to cheat when you’re just dating someone, but breaking it off is much easier. But once you’re married with children and building things together, it’s harder to separate yourself from a cheating spouse.
Fulmer has been quiet on social media ever since admitting his unfaithfulness to Ariel. The producer he cheated with, Alex Herring, has not made any public statements on the situation. Her former fiancé has deleted all photos of her from his Instagram.
