Pokemon GO fest

Players have found a small issue with the new Pokemon Go Plus+. Users of the new device have shared their experience with it so far.

Pokemon Go Plus+ is the new companion device for Pokemon Go. Released on July 14, this device allows players to interact with PokeStops and wild Pokemon without using a phone. The Pokemon Go Plus+ device is a disk shaped like a PokeBall that lights up to indicate an interaction is possible.

The notifications seem to be the main issue at the moment. According to some players, the device lights up and vibrates constantly. The lights are bright and noticeable, so putting it inside a pocket is not enough to hide it.

The development team behind the device confirmed that it is not possible to turn off the lights in the device. While players might feel inconvenienced by this, the overall reviews for the Pokemon Go Plus+ gadget are positive. It does what it is supposed to do, efficiently, perhaps too efficiently at times.

Pokemon Go Plus+ functions

Compatibility with Pokemon Go is just the first step for this device. When it was announced, Pokemon shared its intentions to make it useful for multiple games. One of these games is Pokemon Sleep.

According to the announcement, players will be able to use the Pokemon Go Plus+ device to track down their sleeping hours. The better sleep players get, the more content they will unlock within the device itself. Some of the unlockable content are new alarms and interactions.

One bonus for players using the Pokemon Go Plus+ device is a Special Research in which they can encounter Snorlax wearing a nightcap. Snorlax is the mascot for Pokemon Sleep.

The Pokemon Go Plus+ device is not compatible with Nintendo Switch and cannot be used on its own. To make it work properly, players must have a smartphone with Pokemon Go and, eventually, Pokemon Sleep installed.

All shiny Pokémon available in Pokémon GO in 2026 Pokemon
All shiny Pokémon available in Pokémon GO in 2026 Zachary Roberts Getting a shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO is an absolute treat. It's not as easy to hunt certain things on that game as it is on something like Legends: Z-A or Scarlet and Violet, but you can endlessly play by walking around. The shiny odds are much higher, too. At 1/512 base odds, it's much more likely than in a mainline game, where the odds are 1/4096. If you're interested ...

Recent Pokémon sales prove nostalgia is still king Zachary Roberts To celebrate the 30th anniversary, Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen were brought to the Nintendo Switch (and Switch 2) library. This came a little over a week before Pokémon Pokopia dropped. The former is a decades-old game, and the latter is a brand-new title unlike anything in the franchise. Additionally, it's a real Game of the Year contender. Yet, early sales reports indicate that the two are selling very similarly. FireRed ...
