Pokemon HAS revealed the new Pokemon Go Plus+ device, an improved version of the original gadget.
In 2016, Pokemon Go released the Pokemon Go Plus device. The wristband allowed players to interact with the world around them on Pokemon Go, without having to use their phones. The device allowed players to engage in basic actions like catching Pokemon and interacting with Poke Stops.
In 2023, Pokemon Go is releasing an improved version of the device, which is also compatible with Pokemon Sleep. The basic interactions are part of the new device. Pokemon promised to add new actions to the device in the near future. One bonus for players using the Pokemon Go Plus+ device is a Special Research in which they can encounter Snorlax wearing a nightcap. Snorlax is the mascot for Pokemon Sleep.

Pokemon Sleep is an upcoming sleep-tracking app for Android and iOS, scheduled for release in the Summer of 2023. The game tracks the player’s sleeping habits, and based on consistency, players unlock content in the game.
The Pokemon Go Plus+ device will link with Pokemon Sleep, allowing players to manually activate or deactivate it whenever they are going to bed.
The design for the new Pokemon Go Plus+ device has changed from the original version. The new version is a disk-like Pokeball. The button in the middle is a light that changes colors based on different actions.
There is a Pikachu living inside the device, and it will communicate with the players. The more players improve in Pokemon Sleep, the more content they can unlock on the device itself, like new alarms.
The device is scheduled to be released on July 14, 2023. It is available for pre-order in selected stores in the United States. The starting price is $54.99.
The Pokemon Go Plus+ device is not compatible with Nintendo Switch and cannot be used on its own. Players must link the device with a smartphone that has Pokemon Go or Pokemon Sleep installed. The device is charged through the USB port.
