Play Warhammer 40,000 Darktide before it releases
If you’ve been eagerly awaiting the new Warhammer 40,000 game look no further, you can play Darktide before it releases on November 30!
Warhammer: 40,000 Darktide is a horror horde shooter in the vein of Warhammer: Vermintide, but this one is set in the future fantasy world of Warhammer 40,000. While it doesn’t officially release until November 30, tons of fans are already fighting their way through Tertium in service to the Inquisition. Here’s how to play Darktide before it releases.
How to play Darktide early
There’s no huge secret to entering Darktide early. There was a beta to test the game in October. Then Fatshark has decided that more time to test is a good thing, and allowed pre-ordering players to dip their toes in before November 30.
If you pre-order Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, you’ll be able to download it and hop onto live servers immediately. Fatshark is running a pre-release beta right up until the game releases, enabling players to test out a regularly-increasing number of missions and modes.
Don’t worry about wasting your time running missions and collecting gear that will disappear at the end of the month either, as Fatshark has declared their will do their level best to ensure character progression carries over from the pre-release beta into the full release of the game.
If you’re looking for which class you should play, check out our Zealot and Veteran guides. During the beta, the game will have four zones with an increasing variety of missions available. Upon full launch, the game will expand to include a fifth zone and more mission parameters.
Fatshark is ready to support the game after release as well, announcing new classes would be a regular part of the game’s lifecycle, with new Inquisitorial servants being added every few months or so.
