Team Vitality looks to be making some big moves in this offseason as the team is reportedly looking to sign Cloud9 mid laner Luka “Perkz” Perković and Team Liquid top laner Barney “Alphari” Morris.

This was recently reported by the Spanish outlet Esportmaniacos, which states that the two LCS players will be brought back to the LEC next season to play under the French banners of Vitality. The signings would happen after a mediocre season for Vitality, where the organization placed sixth in both LEC splits.

For both Perkz and Alphari this would mean a return to Europe after one year playing in the LCS. Perkz was picked up by C9 in November last year on a record-breaking contract and managed to win the LCS Mid-Season Showdown, including qualifications to the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational and most recently 2021 World Championship.

Will Alphari and Perkz join Vitality?

Alphari joined Liquid as its new top laner around the same time but didn’t manage to win an LCS split despite topping the LCS Lock In tournament leading up to the season back in January. Like Perkz, Alphari participated at Worlds very recently where he and the rest of Liquid were knocked out in the group stage.

Joining forces on Vitality next season wouldn’t only mean two European stars playing together, but it would also mean a potential super team that Vitality will enter the next season with. Back in September, jungler Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek extended his contract with Vitality, meaning that the team could have an extremely strong trio ready to play next season.

According to Esportmaniacos, the agreement between the two players and Vitality has been accepted but the bot lane is still unknown. With Vitality possibly going all in this offseason, it’s unlikely that it will continue with the bot lane of Juš “Crownshot” Marušič and Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis.

Instead, Vitality could be on its way shopping for two new star players in the bot lane to enter the 2022 season as a new juggernaut. Official news about the Vitality roster will likely drop soon.
