Olofmeister won't retire, returns to FaZe Clan roster again

FaZe Clan will be bringing Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer back to the starting roster to stabilize the beleagured Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team.

FaZe Clan’s olofmeister has been off the radar for a while now, but this will change soon. The organization has confirmed that olofmeister will complete its roster to partake in Blast Premier Spring.  

The news is refreshing for the fans who were let down by reports of olofmeister’s pending retirement. The pro player himself hinted at giving up competitive play in CSGO, but refrained from making a formal statement. He also said that he’s been exploring options outside of FaZe Clan and wasn’t wholly opposed to the idea of switching to Valorant. This comeback news confirms that olofmeister isn’t done with pro CSGO. 

• Is olofmeister returning to CSGO or switching to Valorant?

The legendary CSGO player is one of the oldest FaZe member. He joined in 2017 and contributed a lot to the team’s leadership and overall progress. However, his position in FaZe Clan had recently been up in the air as the player took frequent breaks from competitive and came back on. Olofmesiter’s latest decision to step down from FaZe Clan was thought to be a full stop to his professional career until Twistzz announced that he’s returning. 

Who is on the FaZe Clan CSGO roster?

In an interview with DotEsports, olofmeister’s teammate Twistzz explained that olofmeister would be rejoining the roster on a more “permanent basis.” FaZe Clan’s core took a significant hit after Marcelo “coldzera”  Davidwas removed from the lineup, and the team was in dire need of a strong player to replace him. According to Twistzz, olofmeister is perfect for the situation as he “does his role to perfection.”

The addition should stabilize the CSGO team that has currently been going through a rough patch. Finn “karrigan” Andersen arrival was expected to bring FaZe back to the fore, but multiple changes failed to have a lasting impact. With olofmeister in, FaZe Clan will have a full roster of five that will likely remain the same for the next series of upcoming events. 

The Swedish lurker will mark his return at the BLAST Premier Spring Final in FaZe’s red jersey. Fans should expect to see more of olofmeister as he’ll most likely keep his slot in the team for the foreseeable future.
