Counter-Strike: Global Offensive veteran Olof “olofmeister” Kajbjer is not done with competitive play, and he may even consider Valorant if it comes down to that.

The legendary CSGO rifler stepped down from FaZe Clan after a brief break from competitive play. Since then, the reports of his retirement have been making the rounds, but it seems he still has unfinished business in esports. In one of his recent streams, the pro player shed light on his future plans.

“I got a few offers in the start, and I said no to them because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. But, I have to say that I still want to compete; I like to compete too much,” said olofmeister.

The ace rifler clarified that he’s not looking for a retirement home, which is why he’s carefully weighing his options. The Swedish player still has a passion for competing, and he wants to play for a fitted team that can win matches. His extensive experience in CSGO’s top-notch teams earned him plenty of offers, but he declined them to figure out his next step.

However, he’s now ready to enter the battlefield.

Will olofmeister move to Valorant?

While the Valorant wave hasn’t hit the European scene as hard so far, it’s undoubtedly tempting for many players warming the bench. olofmeister is known for his heroics in Valve’s shooter, but he’s not entirely ruled out Valorant as his next venture. The pro player may even consider Valorant to scratch the itch to compete at major events.

A fan asked whether a Valorant switch is in the cards or he’s strictly pursuing competition in CSGO.

“I don’t know. It depends on what offers I get from CSGO,” olofmeister responded.

Pros who’ve gone under the radar after stepping back from competitive seem skeptical about making the shift. Alex “ALEX” McMeekin and Tarik “tarik” Celik are good examples since both pros have still not decided whether they want to make the big switch. olofmeister seems to be in the same boat. While he has clarified CSGO is still his top priority, a Valorant switch isn’t entirely off the table. It’s unlikely that olofmeister will culminate his iconic journey in esports by switching to a whole new game, but anything could happen.

There are plenty of European teams that are actively hunting for experienced CSGO professional players like olofmeister. Moves like Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz to NiP only confirm that CSGO esports is just as exciting despite the Valorant surge, and olofmeister may even surprise the fans by continuing his legacy in Valve’s shooter.

olofmeister is currently without a team, but he firmly believes that he still has “a lot to offer.” He exited FaZe Clan on a high note and a performance that reminded everyone that he is undoubtedly still one of the best players in CSGO. The pro player annihilated Team Liquid with a striking rating of 1.36 at Blast Premier Spring after his departure from FaZe Clan was announced. The player is still inactive, but his Valorant and CSGO streams are pretty popular among the fans.
