Ninja rages against Fortnite Chapter 2 meta, bashes unvaulted guns

Fortnite streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was quick to compliment Epic Games on their battle royal’s long-awaited Chapter 2.

But after only a few days, Ninja seems to have some strong negative opinions about the game’s emerging meta. Weapons like the Minigun and Rapid Fire SMG were unvaulted for Chapter 2 and while some players were excited, it seems that Ninja isn’t a big fan of the new playstyle that’s formed from their presence.

While streaming some of his matches on Mixer, Ninja started to notice that his opponents were just spraying with these types of weapons. He was forced to jump on the defensive, healing himself constantly between gunfights.

“Solos are the worst. This is going to be awful, bro. Oh my god. I just got sprayed by two Miniguns, man. One of those was the Mythic Minigun, too. Crazy, man,” he said after being eliminated in 9th place.

Ninja chuckled at the situation, clearly a little frustrated with the outcome. It seemed like he was already dreading the next match, thinking about running into this weapons again.

“The spray meta, dude. There’s just no way they’re going to change anything for a while and I just got to get used to it. I literally played one game of solos and I knew it was going to happen. I eventually ran into the Mythic Drum Gun, LMG or Minigun, and I got my ass handed to me,” he said a bit later.

Some fans on YouTube were quick to point out that Ninja seemed to be having a blast with the unvaulted weapons when he was the one yielding them. But once he came an opponent with one, he seemed a litle less enthusiastic.

Ninja has been quite vocal lately about his distaste for Mythic weapons in general. That fact combined with the new “spray meta” seems to have really frustrated the Mixer star. But that hasn’t stopped him from praising the game he plays daily.

Even though he had just been sprayed to death, he had nothing but love for Fortnite when asked what his initial thoughts on Chapter 2 were.

“I’m in love, dude. The game feels… A lot of old vibes. Launch pads increase, shield has increased… Quick eliminations are back. It definitely feels a lot like old Fortnite,” he said.

It’s no surprise that Ninja has a lot of compliments at the ready. He’s critisized other prominent players in the past for ceaseless negativity about the game and its updates. The streamer felt it was fine to voice frustrations, but got angry at other well known streamers for saying the “game sucks” and other blanket statements that could possibly influence fans to also dislike Fortnite.
