The newest champion, K’Sante, Pride of Nazumah has leaked thanks to a Chinese Bilibili video that appeared on October 13, 2022.

K’Sante, the Pride of Nazumah is the next champion coming to League of Legends, a flashy tank from a brand new subregion of Shurima, but he’s not the first to be leaked ahead of schedule. K’Sante was announced in the 2023 Preseason preview video from Riot Games and fans are finally able to get their first glimpse at the enormous new top lane terror. In the leaked trailer, K’Sante speaks to himself before a monster hunt, something that appears to be a central part of his lore.

K’Sante, the Pride of Nazumah leaked ahead of release

A Chinese version of the K’Sante trailer made its way onto social media early on the morning of October 13, and has given fans their first look at the muscled monster hunter. The trailer shows an enormous muscled Shuriman in fancy robes standing next to an enormous ‘jawed’ weapons that must be K’Sante’s weapon, blunt weapons that can be shattered to reveal crafted blades, called Ntofo. K’Sante is seen standing in front of a wall covered in drawings and depictions of great Shuriman beasts, as well as a piece of paper depicting a strange bow which K’Sante runs his hand over thoughtfully.

In the trailer, K’Sante talks about the sun rising on another hunt and how his ancestors established Nazumah to escape the Ascended, Shuriman god-warriors empowered by the Sun Disc. K’Sante says that the monsters change size and shape, but that they never stop coming. Then a panicked yell is heard from off-screen telling someone else to get back. K’Sante then says he will protect his people until his last breath and the trailer ends.

What role wilL K’Sante be?

K’Sante was first previewed in the 2023 Preseason video that was released in August of this year. He was revealed to be from a brand new part of Shurima, the city-state of Nazumah. Nazumah is a monster-hunting civilization that doesn’t bow to Azir and the Shuriman empire. Supposedly he killed one of the desert’s greatest beasts to craft his enormous jaw-like Ntofo.

In the preview, Riot says that K’Sante will be able to temporarily unleash the power of the blades within his Ntofo before the weapon rapidly regenerates to its previous form. K’Sante will be a tank top laner with a high-skill and visually impressive fighting style likely centered on shattering and regenerating his Ntofo to swap between playstyles. K’Sante, the Pride of Nazumah seems to be inspired by games like Monster Hunter to fulfill the mega fauna-felling fantasy for fans loading up onto Summoner’s Rift.
