YouTuber Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson almost ended up on the ill-fated Titan submarine.

MrBeast is one of the most successful content creators of all time, boasting over 162 million subscribers on his main channel alone. He has become famous for his larger than life personality, vibrant videos, and philanthropic good deeds. His over-the-top videos have won him dedicated fans all over the world (as well as copycats). It only made sense that the same guy who recreated his own version of the Squid Games was asked to come aboard one of the craziest vehicles ever used.

The Titan has been making headlines ever since it went missing. The small submarine created by OceanGate had five wealthy individuals inside as it lowered itself into the depths of the ocean in an attempt to explore the wreckage of the Titanic over 12,000 feet below the surface.

As time went on, it was revealed that the CEO ignored a lot of safety precautions and the rich explorers inside had also signed waivers that mentioned how dangerous the voyage would be. The materials and controller used on the Titan were called into question as the world attempted to find out what exactly happened to the missing submarine.

So far, the submarine has never been found, marking MrBeast safe from the Titan disaster.

Was MrBeast almost on the Titan submarine?

Earlier today, MrBeast tweeted that he had received a text asking him to join the Titan crew as they explored the bottom of the ocean.

“I was invited earlier this month to ride the Titanic submarine,” MrBeast said. “I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it.”

MrBeast included a screenshot of the text he received, although he didn’t specify exactly who had sent it to him. It read: “Also, I’m going to the Titanic submarine late this month. The team would be stoked to have you along. I’m sure you’re also welcomed to join.”

Fans and fellow content creators in the comments started expressing their relief in the responses, happy that MrBeast had not taken them up on the offer. Some joked that it would have made for some pretty funny content and even made him some on-brand thumbnails. They added: “All jokes aside, glad you declined. Dodged a bullet for real.”

While many memes have come of the Titan submarine incident due to the billionaires risking their lives with something so obviously dangerous, families are currently mourning the loss of the explorers and curious adventurers who took the risk. There are still people out searching for the Titan but it will be insanely difficult to locate it in the deep sea.

For now, it’s believed that the Titan most likely imploded due to the extreme pressure on top of having less-than-ideal materials and construction for such depths.
