MrBeast faces lawsuit for Deez Nuts chocolate bar

YouTuber Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson found himself in a lawsuit over his Deez Nuts peanut butter chocolate bars.

MrBeast is currently the most-subscribed-to YouTuber thanks to his extreme videos and philanthropic efforts. He has since pursued other business ventures as well, including fast food burgers and chocolate. The burger business didn’t go too well, with many complaining about the quality upon arrival. Now, his chocolate bar company has come under fire again.

MrBeast sued over chocolate bar name

While MrBeast’s line of chocolate bars has been a success overall, it hasn’t been without its controversies.

The first issue arose when MrBeast called on his fans to straighten up his chocolate bar displays in retail stores to help take on his chocolate competition. Asking his fans to sabotage other displays took it too far for many critics.

Now, MrBeast can no longer use the phrase “Deez Nuts” for his peanut butter chocolate bars after being sued by a company known as Dee’s Nuts out of Florida. The August lawsuit claimed that MrBeast’s Deez Nuts bar was copyright infringement.

MrBeast didn’t go down without a fight. His lawyer pointed out that the phrase “deez nuts” is an online meme known by “millions of people on the internet” and was not meant to copy Dee’s Nuts. But the nut company ended up winning the lawsuit and Feastables can no longer use Deez Nuts for its products.

So far, the chocolate bars appear to have the same name. But soon, MrBeast will more than likely introduce a new branding for the peanut butter chocolate bar. For now, he’s been silent on the matter.
