Jimmy “Mr. Beast” Donaldson has doubled down on previous statements, saying on the Worlds 2022 broadcast that buying an LCS team was a matter of when not if.

Mr. Beast has been outspoken about his love for League of Legends and its esports scene in. He’s mentioned in passing that he might like to one day purchase an LCS organization’s slot and have his very own League of Legends team. However, when Mr. Beast appeared on the Worlds finals desk, he made it sound much more certain than just an aspiration.

Mr. Beast will “100%” buy an LCS team

Mr. Beast made an appearance on the pre-opening ceremonies broadcast for the Worlds 2022 finals. While he was there, caster Isaac “Azael” Cummings-Bentley asked the massive content creator about his previous statements regarding buying an LCS team.

When asked if the rumors were true, Mr. Beast was emphatic about the fact that to him it wasn’t optional, just a matter of time.

Azael had asked, “Are you going to buy an LCS team?”

Mr. Beast responded: “Oh gosh. Yeah, 100%. The question is more when.”

He wasn’t quite ready to announce an acquisition immediately, noting that “if we do it, I want a team that makes it to a stage like [the world finals].” He said.

his seemed to be exactly what fans and the casters on the desk wanted to hear, with both exclaiming excitedly at the prospect of a Team Beast or something similar. The enormous content creator has made a name for himself by pumping huge sums of cash into content pieces like his recreation of the hit Netflix show Squid Game.

It seems likely that should Mr. Beast put his mind and considerable available capital into finding a way into LCS ownership, it would probably work.
