LoL Patch 13.10 brings back a fan-favorite item
A removed item is making a comeback with patch 13.10, this is one of four new items to be added to League of Legends in the upcoming days. Statikk Shiv fans, rejoice!
The item shop in League of Legends looks very different from the original one. The game has systematically added and removed items that no longer serve their intended purpose. Other items, like Banner of Command, are removed because they simply become too strong.
Ahead of Season 11, League of Legends removed Statikk Shiv. This item deals bonus magic damage on hit to enemies after being energized and could bounce to seven targets at once. According to Riot Games developer, Statikk Shiv had some considerable overlap with Runaan’s Hurricane, meaning that both items had nearly the same use. Statikk Shiv remained available in TFT.
New items in League of Legends patch 13.10
Statikk Shiv is returning to League of Legends as a Legendary item. Some changes are to be expected in the new and improved version of the Statikk Shiv to avoid overlaps with Runaan’s Hurricane.
One more Mythic item will be added to the store, Echoes of Helia. The list is completed with two Epic items, Lifewell Pendant and Chalice of Blessing.
More changes coming on LoL patch 13.10
There are more system adjustments and changes coming in League of Legends. Some of the announced changes are to Blastcone Spawn timer, Homeguard timers, and pre-14 minion speed. The exact numbers are not available yet. The tower plating durability and the Unleashed Teleport will also receive adjustments.
Overall, patch 13.10 is focusing on items and the game systems. According to Matt “Riot Phroxzon” Leung-Harrison, League of Legends is aiming to have significant system changes at least once a year. The goal is to “solve several player pain points and to add some exciting content.”
Patch 13.10 is rolling out on May 17.
