LoL fans want to remove TFT from future All-Star events
Teamfight Tactics was the least popular part of the
All-Star Event
and fans are asking Riot Games to avoid including this game mode in future events.
The All-Star Event took place from December 5 to December 7. Through three days, professional players, online personalities, and content creators gathered at the Esports Arena Las Vegas to compete in a series of events. Teamfight Tactics, the newest game mode in League of Legends, was a prominent part of All-Stars, but the audience wasn’t happy about it.
Teamfight Tactics was released back in June and it quickly became one of the most played games on Twitch. That popularity has decreased, but the game mode still has a large fanbase that unfortunately doesn’t include most of the League of Legends’ core fans.
On Reddit, a user started a thread suggesting that Riot Games avoided including Teamfight Tactics in future All-Star Events.
“Seriously this is a different game from League of Legends. We are just watching these guys click a couple of times to set up units that then auto fight. There are no fun interactions happening. It’s just wasting time that could be used for actual fun games like a tandem, one for all, nexus blitz etc,”
the user wrote.
Teamfight Tactic a dud at All-Star Event
Riot Games is yet to create the optimal Teamfight Tactic viewer experience. So far, it has been trial and error for a developer that has announced its intentions to launch a full competitive scene in 2020.
The complaints from the fans started because the game is not as interactive as a regular League of Legends game. The event also included several streamers that are unknown to the average western fan.
“I don’t have a problem with TFT and it’s fun to play but it’s not really fun to watch unless you’re a fan of any of the players,” another fan said.
Teamfight Tactics as an esports is undergoing some growing pains, but this was expected considering how new the game is. Riot Games is taking the feedback to heart and improving the viewer experience ahead of 2020 when the competitive scene is set to start in earnest. The details about the formats are still unclear. Teams like G2 Esports, Team SoloMid, and Team Liquid have already signed TFT content creators that recently competed in the
TFT Red Bull Rise of the Elements Invitational.
While some fans were not enjoying the Teamfight Tactics events, they might have to get used to it. Riot Games is planning on launching a new set of games in 2020 that include Legends of Runeterra, Wild Rift, and TFT Mobile, and new titles are also being developed through
Riot Forge. It’s possible that in the future, All-Star becomes a larger event that includes all of the games in the developer’s portofolio.

T1 exposes Karmine Corp with 3-0 win at League of Legends MSI 2026
Wasif Ahmed
T1 just beat Karmine Corp 3-0 in the play-in stage of the 2026 Mid-Season Invitational. More importantly, T1 turned KC’s strengths into weaknesses. The bot lane and teamfight prowess that shone in the LEC were no match this time. The match started with Karmine Corp picking a disrespectful draft, blind picking three immobile squishies. Right off the bat, a botched invade put their jungle and bot lane at a disadvantage. ...
