Riot Games has announced Riot Forge, a publishing label that will develop new games in the League of Legends universe. Riot Forge will see the studio partner up with independent developers to create new games in a variety of genres.

Back in October, Riot revealed its plans to launch several games, including League of Legends: Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics Mobile, Legends of Runeterra, a League of Legends fighting game, and an unnamed tactical shooter.

The sheer amount of content Riot Games was positioned to create wowed fans, and Riot Forge should increase these efforts even further.

Putting the “S” in Riot Games

According to Riot Forge’s website, the publishing label has already found multiple developers that are working on new games. Riot Forge will help with the marketing, voice acting, and other needs the developers might have.

Not all of these titles will be available across all platforms. Riot Forge noted that there are games in the works for mobile, PC, and consoles, which will inevitably result in certain games being exclusive to different platforms.

League of Legends fans won’t have to wait long for the next announcement. Riot Forge plans on revealing the first game and its developer on December 12 during The Game Awards ceremony. The event is taking place in Los Angeles and will be streamed worldwide.

The reveal of Riot Forge was met with immense enthusiasm from fans that want to continue exploring the League of Legends universe through other games. Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics Mobile, and League of Legends: Wild Rift are expected to launch in 2020. The rest of the previously revealed titles are still in development without a confirmed release date.

Developers that wish to get in contact with Riot Forge and pitch a project can do so through the official website.
