Latest Auto Chess update features buffs, nerfs, easier combinations
Another batch of minor updates has been released for popular Dota 2 custom game Auto Chess.
With all of the hype surrounding Auto Chess, developer Drodo Studios is working hard to keep the game interesting by rolling out a series of minor updates.
A new option has been added to the game allowing players to automatically combine three identical pieces on their waiting bench. However, this feature doesn’t work for Druids. That particular class only needs two identical 1-star pieces and another Druid hero to be promoted.
This automatic combining function can be enabled in the top right corner of the game. With a very limited time available for strategizing, this will greatly help players to avoid overlooking identical pieces that need to be combined.
Triple kill and rampage sound effects were added to the game whenever a piece eliminates three or five enemy pieces consecutively.
One of the most notable changes is the critical strike chance for Assassins. The perk was changed from 10%/15%/20% to a flat 15%.
Alchemist was revamped in this update. Chemical Rage now automatically casts Acidic Spray, which reduces armor and lasts for 15 seconds.
Several heroes received buffs, including Phantom Assassin, Omniknight, Morphling, Mirana, and Sand King.
Phantom Assassin’s base attack damage was increased by 10, while Omniknight’s Purification damage and heal were increased by 50. Mirana’s Sacred Arrow cooldown was decreased by 2 seconds.
Morphling and Sand King both got a base HP increase of 50 each, making them slightly more survivable.
Significant changes were also made to the popular pieces such as Medusa, Doom, and Kunkka.
Although Medusa’s base attack damage was increased by 5, the duration of her Stone Gaze ability was decreased from 2/3/4 seconds to 2/2.5/3 seconds.
Doom was nerfed by balancing the duration of his Doom ability from a constant 20 seconds to 10/15/20 seconds. On the other hand, Kunkka’s Ghostship cooldown was changed from 10 seconds to 15/12/9 seconds.
This means that a 1-star Kunkka is far less likely cast two Ghostships in a single round.
The developers teased new upcoming heroes Mars and Zeus, and a major update to the game mode is expected to be released soon.
