jdm64 declares intention to compete again in NA or EU in 2020

Josh “jdm64” Marzano is ready to get back to competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

A former Team Envy player, jdm64 posted on Twitter his wish to get back to the stage in 2020.

“When I say I will get the job done, trust me it will happen given time. I love challenges and I’m more than ready for any that is thrown my way,” wrote jdm64.

jdm64 expressed a willingness to play either in his native region of North America or abroad in Europe.

According to the player, he has been grinding behind the scenes and working on himself to become a better all-round player. On July 1, jdm64 announced he was officially a free agent. At the time, the fans hoped he would join a Cloud9 roster that was going through a rough patch.

jdm64 was once considered to be one of the top AWP talents in the North American region, if not the world. He asceneded with the squad that would take up the Counter Logic Gaming mantle and achieve some success internationally before moving on to Team Liquid.

It was at Liquid that jdm64’s performance eventually seemed to dip. Fans began calling for his removal from the team, and he did exit Liquid prior to their ascent as one of the world’s truly elite teams.

jdm64’s message came just after the culmination of the StarLadder Berlin Major where Astralis took its fourth CSGO major title.

The free-agent market is officially open. Dozens of players and coaches will join in free agency and teams are ready to place their bids and bets.

FaZe Clan reportedly got ahead of the other teams and signed Marcelo “coldzera” David and former ENCE Esports in-game leader Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen.

While some teams are ready to sign experienced players, Fnatic is looking for young talent to develop through the years. In a recent AMA on Reddit, the team revealed that they’re looking for players that are 20-years-old or younger to join the squad.

100 Thieves is the new kid in town, and the organization has announced its plans to get into CSGO. CEO and founder Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag flew to Berlin during the major to start putting together a roster.

The teams want to be in the best shape possible for 2020. The ESL Pro Tour and its $5 million prize pool is the circuit on everyone’s mind. This joint ventured between ESL and DreamHack groups some of the most important events of the year under the same umbrella.

More roster changes are to be expected in the next few weeks.
