Jackson Wang releases League of Legends song
Musical Artist Jackson Wang has released a League of Legends song, “Fire to the Fuse,” ahead of his appearance at the Worlds 2022 opening ceremonies.
Riot Games has released a new official League of Legends song, written and performed by Hong Kong musician Jackson Wang. The song, titled “Fire to the Fuse,” is being released alongside the Empyrean skin line in League of Legends, but will also be performed at the Worlds 2022 opening ceremonies by Jackson Wang, who was announced as a musical appearance during the grand finals.

“Fire to the Fuse” is a classic Riot Games musical collaboration, with a catchy hip-hop tune and throbbing bass. The music video follows the story of the Empyrean universe, in which one dimension’s version of Pyke, driven by an insatiable need to kill, travels through the multiverse killing other versions of himself and destroying that universe.
The video follows one version of Pyke’s final minutes, as Empyrean Pyke breaks into his universe to assassinate him. The video also introduces Empyrean Jax, one of the other Empyreans, powerful beings similar to Pyke who are created every time Pyke ends a universe. The video is well-done, executing a tight story twist by revealing the protagonist’s identity and Pyke’s motivation only at the very end.
Jackson Wang will be one of the artists appearing at the opening ceremonies as a part of Riot Games’ collaborations for Worlds 2022, alongside Lil Nas X, who was confirmed to be performing in a video skit that Riot Games published in early November.
The League of Legends Worlds 2022 grand finals will happen on Saturday, November 5, 2022. T1 and DragonX will face down in what promises to be one of the greatest series of all time at the final stage of North America’s Worlds.
