Fortnite is full of skins of characters from other intellectual properties, and Dead Space is the latest video game to join. Here’s how to unlock the Isaac Clarke Fortnite skin.
The Isaac Clarke Fortnite skin
is a bit unique compared to other skin packs in that it actually helps refund you the V-Bucks spent on purchasing it. Unlike some other skins that are available through the Battle Pass but require quest completion, the new Dead Space-themed skin is almost the opposite. Upon purchasing the Outfit, two pieces of Back Bling, and a Pickaxe, you’re given a set of quests that reward V-Bucks, Fortnite’s paid currency. So not only will you get a sweet Dead Space skin, you’ll get currency to pick up another skin that you like from the Item Shop.

The new skin is available through the Item Shop as a part of the Strange Transmission Quest Pack. This pack includes several cosmetics modeled after items and assets from the Dead Space series. It also includes a series of quests that grant a total of 1,500 V-Bucks as additional rewards for completing Fortnite’s daily quests.

The pack also includes a series of quests that grant the player 1,500 V-Bucks for completing the Daily Quests they’re already given. These quests grant different V-Bucks at various thresholds, but luckily, it’s all cumulative. You don’t have to start back over with each new step, just complete 14 total daily quests. There’s no time limit after which this will expire, so it’s a pretty lenient rewards system. All of the items come upon purchase, unlike some other skins, so only the V-Bucks are locked behind the quests.
Complete three daily quests – Reward: 100 V-Bucks
Complete five daily quests – Reward: 200 V-Bucks
Complete seven daily quests – Reward: 300 V-Bucks
Complete 10 daily quests – Reward: 400 V-Bucks
Complete 14 daily quests – Reward: 500 V-Bucks
Strange Transmission quest pack price
The Strange Transmission quest pack is $11.99 USD, which is a surprisingly good price given that it grants 1,500 V-Bucks, which can then be turned into more skins. Given that it refunds most of its equivalent price in V-Bucks, it’s hard to find a reason not to jump on the Strange Transmission quest pack if you’re planning on spending money on V-Bucks anyhow.
The Dead Space collaboration comes at the same time as ongoing My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Super events, cementing Fortnite’s status as a pop royale melange of Ready Player One proportions. The
Dead Space remake
has been getting good reviews, and this is likely a promotional effort alongside the remaster of the classic science-fiction horror game.
