Is MrBeast going to run for president in 2024?
Once more, Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson is contemplating running for president.
It’s no secret that US politics have been quite controversial. The presidential debate had many questioning both presidential hopefuls in terms of their mental capacity and concerning rhetoric. Some are wondering if there are any better candidates and now there may be an alternative.
On X, MrBeast has decided to express interest in running for president again. But can he?
Can MrBeast run for president?
The short answer is no. At least not yet.
MrBeast tweeted on July 6 that he’d “jump into the race” but the age to run for president would have to be lowered first. You currently have to be 35 years or older to run for president and MrBeast is just 26, so give it 10 years.
Although there’s apparently no maximum age a president can be.
MrBeast has expressed interest in running for president in the past. Back in 2022, the philanthropic and popular YouTuber said that he’d run for president in 20 years. His reason? This time frame would allow him to make a “ton of money” and then “give it all away” ahead of his campaign.
MrBeast is one of the biggest YouTubers and content creators out there. He recently beat T-Series to become the most-subscribed YouTuber on the platform. His videos largely focus on massive stunts as well as philanthropic efforts. He is known for donating massive amounts of money in creative ways, including building houses for people in need, finding homes for stray dogs, and donating shoes to struggling communities.
Because of this, he is often seen as a great option for president, with fans applauding his charitable work and focus on humanitarian issues. Others, however, wondered if he would be too busy making content.
On X, one fan asked him if he’d still make YouTube videos while president. MrBeast responded: “I’d probably focus on running the largest economy on earth.”
A lot of fans were concerned that MrBeast didn’t have the experience or knowledge to run for president. But do the current candidates? Give MrBeast 18 more years and see what he can learn and do.
