It’s been a huge month for Kick as big names have continued to announce they are leaving Twitch to stream on the controversial rival instead. Now, Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm is demanding to be next.
Felix “xQc” Lengyel made mainstream news when he signed a non-exclusive deal worth $70 million (and $100 million if you count additional incentives). This was followed by Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa packing up her hot tub for Kick a day later.
Meanwhile, Dr Disrespect has been streaming on YouTube after being mysteriously permabanned from Twitch, ultimately ending in a lawsuit. Since then, Dr Disrespect has been highly critical of Twitch and its ongoing controversies. When Twitch announced an unpopular change to branded streams, Dr Disrespect took shots at the platform.
Now, Dr Disrespect is eyeing Kick as the site continues to offer deals to popular streamers.
The Two-Time has been hinting about a possible move for the past few months, even telling fans that he had a “big announcement” regarding a “new arena.”
He said at the time: “We’re going bigger. More state-of-the-art, more futuristic. But we’ve had a lot of good memories right here.”
Since then, however, he was a bit silent over the matter. Until now. After hearing about Dr Disrespect’s $70 million non-exclusive deal, Dr Disrespect decided to offer Kick a deal of his own.
“50 million is my number…” he said.
For a streamer of his size, fans commended the Doc for giving Kick such a good bargain. His community started begging Kick to take notice of the offer — and they did.
It’s unclear if anything will come of this exchange, but Kick will most likely reach out with some type of offer or at least a discussion with the popular content creator.
