It seems like just yesterday that God of War: Ragnarok was sweeping up a bunch of awards at the Game Awards. But it appears that another God of War game is in the works already.
A very sharp-eyed gaming insider noticed that Sony’s Santa Monica office posted a peculiar job listing that seemed to hint at another God of War game being in the works.
The tweet itself, from lead combat designer Rob Meyer, wasn’t all too alarming. It was simply asking for some combat designers. But the job description gave away the possibility of a new God of War game.
It’s been a long-time rumor that a God of War sequel is happening. God of War and God of War: Ragnarok were massive award-winning successes that have led to a TV series and a loyal following. With God of War being such a beloved franchise, it’s no surprise that they are already looking into another game.
The content designer job listing has fans pretty confident that the game is already being worked on.
It reads: “Must have knowledge of God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök (2022) and be able to speak in depth about the combat systems, mechanics, and enemies.”
It’s currently not confirmed that a God of War game is coming but it seems like a major possibility. Either way, gamers have already been speculating about the plot, which they believe will revolve around Kratos’ son Atreus.
