Fans of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth are salty that Felix “xQc” Lengyel collaborated on the game’s campaign.

Gamers have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the sequel by developers RGG Studio. The series has been pretty popular around the world thanks to its immersive storylines and captivating characters, but fans are still annoyed with the studio after seeing that xQc was part of the major marketing campaign leading to its arrival.

On January 19, RGG Studio tweeted that xQc will be “diving into the opening of the game” to give fans an early glimpse of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. But fans were confused why he was the streamer to do it.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth fans mad with xQc sponsorship

xQc is probably the most famous streamer in the world right now so it seems like a no brainer to have him play a game early to create hype. But fans of Like a Dragon are still angry with developers for having him on board.

A lot of fans have stated that xQc isn’t a good choice because he doesn’t play this genre of game and because of his toxic, questionable behavior at times.

After hearing about xQc’s Like a Dragon stream, fans didn’t express excitement at seeing the game early. Instead, gamers said that they would “rather watch paint dry.”

Said another: “So he’s just gonna leave during the first minute and just let the cutscenes play on his stream and claim the ad revenue off of your hard work?”

“Pretty disappointing to see one of the worst human beings to ever exist in content creation be the one to play the game early and promote it,” another commented.

But others noted that he was “perfect” for the collaboration since he often “flaunts his wealth” when in arguments with other streamers and to deflect from criticism. Of course, this could also be seen as a jab at xQc.
