Here’s how to see games being played on the Champions Queue super server in North America.

The Champions Queue super server is North America’s response to complaints from professional players about various issues with solo queue and ranked play in the region. The super server went live on the morning of February 7 and games are already being played.

With a massive prize pool of $400 000 for the players who best perform in the competition, Champions Queue is an exclusive matchmaking environment run through a private Discord server by Riot Games through a West coast-based server for League of Legends professionals. The top 16 Proving Grounds teams, as well as each LCS team and their Academy rosters, will be granted access to the server. Other players may also be admitted on a case-by-case basis. Since it’s meant to foster competition on a low-ping server, the matches being played on the Champions Queue can be publicly viewed by anybody who wants to see how certain matches turn out.

The Champions Queue includes up-to-date leaderboards with a timer for the current split. In addition, fans can check out the Match History section of the website to scroll through a long list of what solo queue looks like on single-digit ping with only the best players involved. Fans on social media were quick to laugh that the controversial strategy of Smite Janna top lane made an appearance within in the first few games, but it seems like the system is already seeing success.

Professional players dot the top 10 players in the queue’s early ranking, alongside their best peers from solo queue and semi-pro play. With just under a month remaining in its inaugural split, Champions Queue is hoping to jumpstart the interest in solo queue at the highest level in North America. Hopefully, this answer to China’s famous super server will help answer some of the issues professional players have had with playing in the NA region.
