If you wanted to play Diablo 4 over the weekend, you might have encountered “Code 315306 – Unable to Find a Valid License.” Here is everything you need to know about this error code and how to fix it.
On June 25, Diablo 4 reported the game was dealing with an ongoing DDoS attack. This is a type of cyber attack where machines are overloaded with requests, preventing the real requests from being completed. In short, servers couldn’t distinguish between real players and fake requests.
As a result of the attack, some players came across error code 314306. This error code shows up when the server cannot find a valid license for Diablo 4 on the PC. The error starts with Battle.net not being able to verify that players own the game.
While it might sound like there is something wrong with your PC and your game, the issue comes from the server directly. These errors are caused by the DDoS attack.
Because the error is in the game’s server, there is nothing players can do on their end to fix it. Since the DDoS attack overloads the system, it is a good idea to log off and wait for servers to be re-established.
According to Blizzard’s Customer Service, the attack that took place over the weekend ended. The servers should be back to normal, although some errors might persist. If you are unable to enter the game, some troubleshooting might be required.
To complete the connection troubleshooting, follow these steps.
