How to find and use the Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring
Bleed stacking is an incredibly powerful tool in Elden Ring, here’s how to find the Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring.
Ashes of War let players customize their weapons, with some deadly combinations. The bleed status effect builds up to a massive burst of damage equal to a large percentage of the bleeding enemy’s health. This makes it an excellent tactic in a game filled with huge enemies whose greatest threat is their sheer durability. The Seppuku Ash of War is an excellent tool for dealing with this in Elden Ring.
What is the Seppuku Ash of War in Elden Ring?
The Seppuku Ash of War makes the wearer stab themselves, taking damage but empowering their weapon and increasing its bleed effect.
This is an excellent tool for players looking to stack this with other sources of bleed, most notably the Uchigatana’s passive bleed effect. Both the Seppuku and passive bleed effects stack independently. Having a weapon that bleeds, a property that bleeds, and an Ash of War that bleeds allows players to rapidly chunk enemies for large portions of their health.
Where to find Seppuku in Elden Ring
This Ash of War can be found in the Mountaintops of the Giants area near the Frozen Lake location. On the left side of the lake is a section of trees with an invisible loot scarab that runs in a loop, leaving a trail. Killing it requires good timing but landing just one hit will net the player the Ash of War.
See where the scarab rolls and wait. Its path is set, so there’s no need to try and predict its movement. Unleash attacks as the glowing trail approaches, and you’ll eventually kill the scarab and gain access to the Ash of War. Players wanting a foolproof method for pulling this off can use the Spinning Weapon Ash of War, which spins their weapon like a deadly propellor and lands an almost guaranteed hit on the scarab as it approaches
