How to earn rewards from classes in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Attending classes in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is completely optional but there are some good reasons why you should attend.
Long gone are the days where Pokemon trainers were just young people running around, trying to become Pokemon Masters. In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players are actual students from the Naranja or Uva Academy, depending on which version of the game they pick.
Students can choose to leave and explore Paldea but there is a lot to learn staying on campus.
There are several locations available, including a School Store where students can purchase items. The Director’s Office, a Biology Lab, and even a dorm room. Some locations will show an exclamation point when there’s an opportunity to improve a friendship with a character.
At the Entrance Hall, students can register for classes. There are a total of seven possible classes. Each class consists of eight lectures, a midterm, and a final exam. Completing the classes and passing the exams will grant rewards. The classes available are:
- Biology
- Math
- History
- Languages
- Battle Studies
- Art
- Home Economics
Each class has a different teacher and a new opportunity to build a friendship. Growing friendships with the faculty members will unlock side quests with important rewards.
One of the teachers is Mr. Jacq who previously showed up in Pokemon GO when Gimmighoul made its first appearance.
What’s the point of classes in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
Players can earn rewards through the classes in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Completing the midterms and final exams also grant requests. The point of the classes is to learn about Pokemon and unlock the sidequests. These sidequests are only available if you reach a certain level of friendship with the faculty members.
If players catch 100 Pokemon, they will receive 20 Ultraballs from Mr. Jacq. That’s just one example of the rewards the teachers give out. The classes also share interesting information about the Pokemon world, so there’s something to learn.
