Potterheads were disappointed when it was announced that Hogwarts Legacy wouldn’t have multiplayer, but the game still has tons of replay potential, thanks to house-specific quests.

Hogwarts Legacy costs $60, an amount not everyone can afford to pay for a single-player game. Luckily, in order to claim you have explored Hogwarts Legacy completely and thoroughly, you must play the game at least four times. This is because each house has a unique quest that doesn’t necessarily impact the game outcome but slightly changes your experience with “The Richard Jackdaw Connection.”

Players must meet the ghost of a student named Richard Jackdaw, who’ll help find missing pages from a book acquired earlier. Once you find him, the story unfolds the same way for all. But the unique house quests change how you meet Jackdaw.

Hufflepuff is best out of all Hogwarts Legacy house quests

Hufflepuff players will speak to the portrait of Eldritch Diggory, who’ll lead you to a nearby retired Auror, Helen Thistlewoon. The Auror will direct the players to Azkaban in order to meet the prisoner Anne, who’s Richard’s former lover, to get clues about a cave in Upper Hogsfield. A new puzzle awaits the Hufflepuff players inside the cave, and after solving it, players can meet Richard Jackdraw’s ghost.

Hogwarts Legacy’s Prisoner of Love is the most popular unique quest among the players, as it involves a trip to Azkaban. It’s worth noting that it’s the only way to visit the infamous jail, which means you must be a Hufflepuff to visit the dementors.

Ravenclaw house quest: Ollivander’s Heirloom

Gerbold Ollivandar, the wandmaker, needs help finding a stolen wand, and Ravenclaw players can help. This mission begins in Olivander’s shop in Hogsmeade, where the shopkeeper suspects Jackdraw as the thief. He also believes that the wand may be in the Owlery. A quick trip to Owlery will lead the players to simple puzzles, ultimately to the top of the Owlery, where you’ll meet Jackdraw.

Slytherin house quest: Scrope’s Last Hope

In the Slytherin exclusive quest, players accompany a house-elf named Scrope on his mission to retrieve a unique ring. Scrope serves the Black family, headed by current Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black, and includes famous characters such as Sirius Black, Bellatrix Lestrange, and Narcissa Malfoy from the Harry Potter series.

The objective is to find the ring within a mysterious Grotto and retrieve it to give as a gift to the Headmaster. Along the way, players will also discover the pages they are seeking. Upon completing the task and assisting Scrope, players will have fulfilled the requirements to embark on the main story quest.

Gryffindor house quest: The Hunt for the Missing Pages

The students of Gryffindor embark on their search for the Missing Pages by consulting Nearly Headless Nick, who is still a ghost in Hogwarts Legacy. He leads the players to the Hogwarts Kitchens’s secret entrance near the Hufflepuff Common Room. The door is hidden behind a delicate pear, and upon entering, players will find a piece of spoiled roast beef on a barrel.

Next, the players must journey to a pumpkin field near Hogsmeade Cemetery to meet the Headless Hunt. Unfortunately, Nearly Headless Nick is rejected for not being fully headless, but the players must participate in a ghostly game of hide-and-seek to find Richard Jackdaw’s head and complete the quest.
