When it comes to Eevee evolutions, you simply must catch them all. We already talked about Sylveon, so it is time to learn how to get Umbreon in Pokemon GO.

Umbreon is the Dark type Eevee evolution. Originally from the Johto region, Umbreon appeared for the first time in Pokemon Gold and Silver alongside Espeon. Umbreon and Espeon are the starters in the 2014 game Pokemon Colosseum and have appeared in every Pokemon title ever since. Umbreon arrived in Pokemon Go with the Johto region expansion in February 2017.

There are two methods to get Umbreon in Pokemon GO. The first method is the classic renaming technique. In order to get Umbreon, trainers must rename their Eevee as Tamao, and with 25 candies, they will get Umbreon. This trick only works one time.

The second way how to get Umbreon in Pokemon GO requires some walking. Trainers must select Eevee as their buddy and walk 10km. In the Buddy tab, players can check their progress. Once they complete the 10km, players will get the option to evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon, it will depend on the time.

Evolving the Eevee during the day will result in Espeon, evolving it during the night makes it an Umbreon. Make sure that the game has the correct time. If a player is using a VPN, it might affect the result.

Is Umbreon worth powering up?

Umbreon has a maximum CP of 2,416 and a frequent in the Great and Ultra League. The stats make it a difficult opponent that can endure attacks and packs a punch. Out of the Eevee evolutions, Umbreon is probably one of the best when it comes to PVP.

Having an Umbreon on the team is a good option for any aspiring competitor in the Great and Ultra League. Save those candies because Umbreon is worth powering it up.

All shiny Pokémon available in Pokémon GO in 2026 Zachary Roberts Getting a shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO is an absolute treat. It's not as easy to hunt certain things on that game as it is on something like Legends: Z-A or Scarlet and Violet, but you can endlessly play by walking around. The shiny odds are much higher, too. At 1/512 base odds, it's much more likely than in a mainline game, where the odds are 1/4096. If you're interested ...

Additionally, it's a real Game of the Year contender. Yet, early sales reports indicate that the two are selling very similarly. FireRed ...
