For the first time ever, HellRaisers and Alliance will face off in Dota 2.

OGA Dota Pit Online boasts top teams from the Europe and CIS regions. With $150,000 in prize money at stake, the upper bracket spots are highly coveted. On the last day of the group stage, HellRaisers will face Alliance in a high-stakes match. HellRaisers is still looking to carve out a spot while Alliance has been gaining momentum after controversial roster changes.

Will Alliance chalk up its first victory against HellRaisers or will the CIS team pull off an upset over the European stalwarts?

HellRaisers vs. Alliance betting analysis

Alliance can defeat any team on a good day

Alliance created a buzz recently when it ended Team Secret’s 17-map winning streak in the Gamers Without Borders 2020 event. While Secret got out to an early lead, Alliance was determined to end the hot streak of the European powerhouse team. Team Secret dominated the early phase but Alliance was able to buy time for its carry. In the end, Alliance was able to flip the game to its favor.

While Alliance took that game, Secret took the series 2-1 and went on to win the event.

Alliance is playing in OGA Dota Pit Online with the same roster that defeated Team Secret:

  1. Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov
  2. Linus “Limmp” Blomdin
  3. Gustav “s4” Magnusson
  4. Simon “Handsken” Haag
  5. Artsiom “fng” Barshak

This is not the first time that Alliance has scored an upset. Alliance defeated OG and Team Nigma in the WePlay! Pushka League Season 1. Although the team ended up in fifth place, Alliance had an impressive run in the group stage that showed the current roster has real potential.

Indeed, Alliance can beat any team on a good day. Is it enough to defeat the team they’re facing for the first time? The question remains.

HellRaisers struggles to deliver good results

HellRaisers is an up-and-coming CIS squad that is struggling to find consistency. The team’s best result came with a second-place finish at WeSave! Charity Play, where it was defeated by Team Nigma in the grand finals. In other events, HellRaisers has posted mixed results, taking wins over top opponents while failing to convert those victories into strong placements.

OGA Dota Pit Online has been rough for HellRaisers. OG and FlyToMoon defeated them 2-0, leaving their tournament spot hanging in the balance. Its matchup against Alliance might be their only ticket to the playoffs.

HellRaisers is looking to rebound with its full lineup:

  1. Alexander “Nix” Levin
  2. Arslan “xannii” Shadjanov
  3. Gleb “Funn1k” Lipatnikov
  4. Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosya
  5. Yaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov
