Twitch streamer and political podcaster Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker has frustrated fans by appearing to be a little too cheap during a recent stream collaboration with other top streamers.
HasanAbi teamed up with other famous streamers for a recent Twitch broadcast. HasanAbi took xQc, Sodapoppin, Ludwig, Myth, and other big-name streamers to a gun range. They shot a variety of weapons while there, including pistols and sniper rifles, facing off against each other to see who was the best shot.
But it wasn’t the gun-related action that got fans talking after the stream was over.

During a recent stream with Ludwig, HasanAbi asked the record-breaking streamer if he could be reimbursed for the gun range stream. Ludwig responded that there was definitely enough money to reimburse HasanAbi.
“If not, it’s also fine,” HasanAbi sheepishly said afterwards.
Despite his claim that not being reimbursed was fine, the entire conversation rubbed the streaming community the wrong way. Many people expressed frustration with HasanAbi being so cheap when he has become rich off the backs of fans on Twitch. Many fans immediately pointed out that HasanAbi received millions of views for the stream, was running ads throughout it, and could even claim the cost of the ammunition used as a business expense.
Others took issue with HasanAbi’s financial concerns given his apparent wealth and its juxtaposition with the political positioning he often takes on public economic issues, leading fans to label him as a hypocrite or worse.
HasanAbi is believed to be a millionaire. He is understood to be worth between $1.5 and $2 million.
This is thanks to HasanAbi’s long career as a political content creator, including as a host on The Young Turks. He has over 50,000 subscribers on Twitch and plays regular ads on his streams, which receive tens of thousands of views at any given time. HasanAbi also receives direct donations from viewers on Twitch.
HasanAbi recently purchased a $3 million home in Los Angeles. This received a lot of criticism from the streaming community who felt that HasanAbi’s decision to purchase an expensive home didn’t match his “liberal agenda.” While some streamers stood up for HasanAbi’s purchase, many in the community still clearly hold a grudge against HasanAbi for this and other alleged offenses.
