HasanAbi and Amouranth to do hot tub stream on H3H3 YouTube
Hasan “HasanAbi” Piker is planning a steamy hot tub stream after being banned from Twitch for “hate speech.”
HasanAbi has been suspended from the streaming platform for seven days for using the word “cracker,” a controversial move that left the streaming community torn on the decision. HasanAbi is going to use this time to explore new types of content: Hot tub streams.
HasanAbi was already planning a hot tub stream, but the home of this stream with Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa is moving to H3H3’s channel on YouTube. He will also be doing a stream with Ludwig Ahgren over on YouTube. Since HasanAbi is suspended from Twitch, creating content on YouTube in the meantime is not a violation.
H3H3, xQc, community responds to HasanAbi being banned from Twitch
HasanAbi was banned on Twitch for a week after stating that “cracker” is not an offensive or racist slur. He discussed the word after some of his mods were banned for using it.
In response, Twitch suspended HasanAbi as well. HasanAbi ridiculed the decision on Twitter, as did many of his followers who jokingly said Twitch “ended racism.” H3H3 was a big supporter of HasanAbi, and that most likely is what led to the two collaborating on a hot tub stream.
Others still argued that using “cracker” as an insult was offensive as it used to insult someone over their skin color, regardless of its historical precedent. Felix “xQc” Lengyel was passionate in his opposition of the term, calling the word “trashy.”
“I don’t take offense to the word. But the basis of insulting based on skin color is trashy and unneeded. You shouldn’t have to go there to prove anything. It doesn’t get anybody anywhere,” xQc explained.
