Rockstar has confirmed the launch date of the official GTA 6 trailer.
Rumors of GTA 6 release date have been plenty, but Rockstar was tight-lipped until a few weeks ago. Keeping the release date under wraps, Rockstar confirmed that the game teaser trailer will come out sometime in December.
Now, the developer has made good on its promise, sharing the release date for the first official teaser of GTA 6, also hinting at the location and setting for the upcoming installment.
Taking to social media, Rockstar has confirmed that the first GTA 6 trailer will be released on Tuesday, December 5 at 6 am PST / 9 am EST / 2 pm GMT / 3 pm CEST / and Wednesday, December 6 at 1 am AEDT.
The post didn’t directly mention GTA 6, but it had the iconic Vice City palm trees on a golden-pink background. In one and a half hours, the post managed to rope in 22 million eyes, creating anticipation around the upcoming release.
So far, there’s not much known about GTA 6 besides that it would take place in Vice City, a virtual recreation of Miami. It has also been rumored that GTA 6 will have a pair of protagonists, maybe a Bonnie and Clyde situation. But this still needs to be confirmed by Rockstar.
The new trailer release date also means that GTA 6 won’t be revealed at the Game Awards, but it’s still too early to make a claim. Rockstar may drop a more elaborate gameplay trailer at the award show, followed by a short teaser on December 5.
