Greekgodx ban

Dimitri “Greekgodx” Antonatos is back on Twitch after it was alleged that he had made racist joke.

Greekgodx was banned from the streaming platform for two weeks in July after a moment in his livestream went viral. While walking past an Asian family, Greekgodx started making sounds that many took as him mocking their language in a quick showing of racism.

At the time, Greekgodx explained that he was just making “random noises,” even claiming the family wasn’t Asian to begin with.

“This is funny because that wasn’t an Asian family. That was a Greek family speaking Greek. And to assume that they are Asian is very wrong in itself. My family members are Asian. Why would I be racist to the people who brought me up?” Greekgodx tweeted on July 28.

But Twitter didn’t budge on its decision, accusing him of “hateful conduct” in an email.

Greekgodx back on Twitch after controversial ban

While the ban itself was shrouded in controversy, it was Greekgodx’s response that made the drama continue. Other streamers started reacting to the situation as Greekgodx continued to make negative comments on Twitter regarding his racist actions.

Other prominent streamers were quick to call out Greekgodx for his behavior, asking him to do better.

“It’s the same concept as this: As an insult, the C (cracker) word is bad, the N word is mega bad. Even you will agree with that. History of usage, intention etc. play a big role in that dynamic,” xQc said. “We know this isn’t you.”

“I wish you just came back to the normal you. You don’t need to be this angry all the time. Be the happy Greek, not the angry Greek. Everyone loves the happy Greek,” bodybuilder and streamer Knut Spildrejorde added.

After cooling down a bit, Greekgodx tweeted that he is looking to “take over,” seemingly in a better mood.

Fans are currently waiting to hear when exactly Greekgodx will stream again and what his new plan to “take over” includes.
