Fortnitemare Unveils Mephisto Skin; How to Unlock

Halloween is upon us yet again and this means exclusive perks from top gaming sites. Fortnite’s Fortnitemares event has proven to be a hit by giving players a ton of limited edition skins. 

One of the most popular is Mephisto, an extra-dimensional demon from the Marvel comics, as well as a figure in some Greek mythology. His fiery red appearance and connection to pop culture made him highly anticipated. And now, we’re breaking down how to get your hands on the Mephisto skin. 

How to Unlock Mephisto Skin in Fortnitemares

You can unlock the Mephisto skin by navigating to the Item Shop and buying either the individual outfit or the complete bundle. The outfit costs 1,500 V-Bucks and the complete bundle costs 2,000 V-Bucks. But hurry, the skin is only available until October 19, 2024, at 8 PM ET. After this time, there’s no guarantee that it’ll still be listed in the shop. 

The individual outfit comes with the skin, the LEGO Outfit style and Mephisto’s Cloack Back Bling. The bundle, however, comes with all of this, the demon’s Hand Pickaxe, and the Hellfire Flare Wrap. These items are operational in the Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and LEGO Fortnite and were introduced in Chapter 5 Season 4. Regardless of which you choose, there is no doubt a lot of fun to be had with the character. 

In the recent 31.40 update for Halloween, the demon has replaced Hades as the ruler of the underworld. For 20 health, he gives players a random gift and for 99 health, he will help you reboot your entire squad. He joins other iconic NCPs like Jigsaw and Iron Man, all of whom can also be unlocked during Fortnitemares. In the short time he’s been in the universe, he’s already thrash-talked several other characters like Thor, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Doom, so clearly, developers are being ambitious with him.

Depending on how the character is received during the event, we might just see more of him in 2024 and beyond.
