Fortnite leak uncovers new vehicle with mounted weapon
Epic Games is known to shake up Fortnite. This has included adding vehicles like the X-Wing fighter plane and the B.R.U.T.E. mech. Now, data miners have uncovered another new vehicle coming to the popular battle royale.
The leaks have revealed a weapon with a mounted gun, one of the first weapons in some time to not only help players traverse the island but also to deal damage. The weapon was uncovered by a reliable Fortnite data miner known as VastBlast. The vehicle was found in the game files and might even feature a turret.
“Epic is working on a car with a mounted turret/gun. This may or may not have something to do with the upcoming creative mods,” VastBlast said.
The leaker included some values they uncovered in the game files. These included AFortDagwoodVehicle:ApplyVehicleModMountedGun and MountedGunData.

Data miners uncover new Fortnite vehicle with weapons
This is the only data that’s been uncovered for the weaponized vehicle thus far. It’s still not confirmed whether it will be added to the battle royale game itself, or if it might only be seen in the game’s creative modes.
The vehicle is already drawing comparisons to Halo’s famed weaponized vehicle, the Warthog. Since Fortnite already added a Master Chief skin and a Capture the Flag LTM inspired by Blood Gulch, players are wondering if the dangerous vehicle will be based on Halo’s ride. Epic hasn’t confirmed that any more Halo crossovers are coming to the game.
It’s also possible that Fortnite has created this new vehicle without any outside inspiration. Epic has added a lot of interesting new vehicles and weapons throughout Fortnite’s history, and isn’t afraid to shake up the meta or ruffle up the feathers of the competitive scene.
Pro Fortnite players still lament Baller, B.R.U.T.E.
Remember the Baller? This vehicle was considered OP upon its release but Epic continued to keep it in the game, even in competitive modes. When the Baller was removed for game-breaking bugs, pros prayed that it wouldn’t return. But Epic developers put it right back in.
Pros also continuously complained about the B.R.U.T.E., which added a huge element of imbalance into the game. But Epic kept it in, seemingly happy that newer players would feel the satisfaction of getting eliminations even when playing against more skilled competitors.
With Epic showing so little fear of upsetting the community, anything is possible in Fortnite. Fans will have to wait and see what this crazy new weaponized vehicle looks like or does.
