Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is nearly upon us, and the brand new cinematic trailer is bringing lots of details about the upcoming cyberpunk-ified season of Epic Games’ battle royale.
The new cinematic trailer has just gone live, and we’re getting our first confirmation of several rumors about the new season. From an Attack on Titan crossover to new ways to get around the map and even hints at new weapons, here’s everything we can take from the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 cinematic trailer.
The one central rumor around the new season’s theme and aesthetic was that it was going to bring the near-future aesthetic of cyberpunk as a mainstay of the island’s new appearance. In the trailer that just dropped, it’s clear that these rumors were right on the money. The trailer opens with futuristic motorbikes driving through rows of cherry trees as cyberpunk buildings descend from the sky around the island. A dimensional rift has been slowly opening above the map heading into the new season, and it seems like the new season will have its cyberpunk locations falling out of it.

From there, we get a peek at the new Eren Jeager skin that will be coming this season. Eren and another Fortnite character drop from a neon skyscraper to slide along rails that weave through the city streets. Eren using Attack on Titan’s trademark grappling apparatus confirms the rumored Mythic mobility item, and a Rift Warden Stellan appears to use some kind of futuristic katana right before the trailer cuts. This katana is likely a brand-new weapon for the new season of the battle royale. Servers will go offline at 11 pm PST on March 9, and gameplay will resume sometime the next morning when the new season begins in earnest.
