Fortnite Chapter 2 made shroud want to play Apex Legends again
Twitch streamer Michael “shroud” Grzesiek gave up on Fortnite a while ago, but he thought he’d give Chapter 2 a try after all of the hype. And it didn’t go well.
Running around in his Fortnite x Mayhem skin, shroud only played for a couple hours before calling it quits.
In one clip, shroud is running around Frenzy Farm seemingly not impressed with Fortnite’s newest season.
“I’m not going to lie, chat, playing this game makes Apex look three hundred times better. It really makes me appreciate Apex more, so I’m kind of glad I’m playing,” said the former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive pro.
Still, shroud stuck with it for the next few hours. It wasn’t until he came across a tough opponent that shroud called it quits.
The highly skilled builder easily outplayed shroud, sending him back to the lobby in ninth place. For a guy who barely plays Fortnite, that’s not too shabby. But for shroud, this moment spelled the end of his Fortnite career. For now.
“I can’t play this game anymore. It’s too bad. I can’t get owned any longer. The game’s too long. I’ll play it next season,” he said to his viewers.
shroud isn’t really known for his Fortnite streams, so leaving the game will be no problem for the man with over 7 million Twitch followers. Instead, his fans will get to see him play Apex Legends and then the new Call of Duty later this month.
Unlike shroud, many big names in Fortnite have expressed more positive views on the battle royale’s Chapter 2 changes.
Ali “SypherPK” said the new season gave him “OG Fortnite vibes” and Brett “Dakotaz” Hoffman loved the addition of the new Bandage Bazooka.
