Tournament organizers decided to combine North America and South America in their online leagues and that has posed serious issues for many South American teams as they deal with connectivity issues. beastcoast previously stated that it was going to stop competing in intercontinental tournaments for this reason, but it went back on that for this event. This has come back to bite them a bit, as they’ve once again struggled to perform.

beastcoast was the first to exit from ESL One Birmingham 2020 and it is currently on pace to do the same here. Offsetting this are strong showings in dedicated South American leagues such as Realms Collide and ESL One Los Angeles.
