Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa has been banned from Twitch for the 10th time.
Notorious for sexy streams that push Twitch’s regulations and boundaries, Amouranth is no stranger to getting banned. In fact, Amouranth had just come back from a ban when she was banned again earlier today.
This time, we don’t know just yet. Fans are actually a bit confused because Amouranth wasn’t even on Twitch when the ban occurred this time around — she was streaming on Kick.
During her stream, Amouranth simply said: “Weird. That’s so strange.”
The reaction from the streaming community has been beyond negative. Many have questioned why Amouranth isn’t permanently banned since Twitch usually boots people from the platform forever after a certain amount of suspensions. Others have frustratingly joked that Twitch will just bring her back in a few days so why even bother punishing her?
Right now, Amouranth has been banned 10 times. Two of those times were within the last week.
Amouranth was banned for the 9th time due to Twitch’s latest version of the Community Guidelines, which states that streams cannot focus on “intimate body parts” for a “prolonged period of time.” During that stream, Amouranth was playing with her dog while wearing a bikini.
At the time, Amouranth noted that the new guidelines were the “end of an era,” clearly feeling that the stricter rules would have an impact on her Twitch streams. She has often tried to skirt around the guidelines while still remaining suggestive but Twitch eventually catches on.
One thing has always been consistent with Amouranth’s bans — they only last for a few days. Sometimes less. It seems as though Twitch is not too keen on providing harsh punishments to the controversial streamer, possibly due to the amount of money she rakes in.
Either way, it has become a massive source of frustration for the streaming community. Many feel that Amouranth and other female streamers get special treatment, avoiding harsher punishments despite breaking the rules. It’s a debate as old as time.
